So many guns, so little time

Folks there are many, many markers out there right now. So many paintball guns and some many companies that are willing to get into the act and create their own makers. Now I my SMALL listings paintball guns have a some noted makers of recent times. However, by far these are not all of them. In fact I would say these are not even half of what is now being produced. Nu-Line, PEC, and several other great companies with names such as the Bruzier, Master, Combat, and others are also included. I’ve simply run out of time and space for them right now. I hope to soon add more paintball guns to the list as well providing that new name don’t suddenly appear. All of these guns in my opinion are excellent makers. What qualifies a gun is how if fits the owner and the owner’s lifestyle. Money, performance, and maintenance are the conditions that decipher what is needed. My opinion is take a good look around at all the companies, all the markers and when you find one you like look up everything you can on it before buying it. I hope I’ve helped you at least a little. Enjoy.

Paintball Markers

Paintball makers (paintball guns), have many different variations that can allow a person to buy a marker that fits their needs and pocket book. For example if you just wanted to try paintball out you could buy a Brass Eagle Talon ($36) or a Stingray Package ($120). Both come with everything you need except air and balls and all you need for air for them is a 12-gram cartridge. That’s about as inexpensive as is gets for a bran new gun. However, if you wanted to jump to a higher level, you could go with a Spyder ($130-$140), Raptor (my gun, $160), Carbine-68 ( $180), any of which is great for a beginner and gives you quit and edge when playing for the first time. All these guns are good also because they’re simple. Some maintenance is required but if you want in to paintball you gotta deal with it if you want your markers to last. The higher priced guns require more money to maintain, more time to tune, but in the end when you use them you’ll know it was all worth it. So anyway here is my list and descriptions of some markers I’ve noted as begin the guns to get.

PLEASE NOTE, these are only the knowledge and opinions I have of these markers. I WILL not be held responsible if anything goes wrong with your choices.

Entry-Level Makers

The Entry Level markers are just as they sound. If your just wanting to tryout paintball or are starting out these markers are what most experienced paintballers would suggest you should try FIRST.

THE BRASS EAGLE TALON

If your ever interested in paintball and don’t yet know if you’ll like it, consider the Talon. The Talon is an easy as well as inexpensive marker that is both very simple and very cheap. Just buy a 12-gram cartridge, and some paint and your set. It’s not the most accurate in the world, but ya get what you pay for, and it’s tough as nails. Even has a mount for a sight. Its a pump action and almost completely made of an extremely hard Polymer. Perfect for anyone wanted to explore the growing sport of paintball

THE BRASS EAGLE STINGRAY

An entry level semi that is both affordable and a performer. The frame is of super strong polymer and metal parts such as bolt, trigger mechanism, and others. It works on anything as low as 12-gram cartridge to 7-12 ounce tanks. There are many inexpensive options available for the Stingray such as bottom lines, pro sniper barrels, venturi bolts and even adapters that allow it to be fitted with Spyder barrels (Which includes just pretty much all brand name barrels). All of these parts are as little as $20-$30, and of course the Stingray is starts at about $80 to $100 for just the gun. This incredibly low pricing makes it the cheapest semi on the market for the time being. Very easy to take care of and seems to almost never break balls. If your starting out in paintball, this gun is a great choice, and certainly not one to over look.

Also more parts kits, add-ons, barrels, expansion chambers, valves and everything out there are made to fit this marker. THE BRASS EAGLE RAPTOR

The Raptor, yes it’s the gun I’m wheeling at the moment. I’ve found it to be extremely reliable, and if I would have known where to buy them before, I would have saved quite a bit on cash. Said to be a tournament grade marker, the Raptor can hold it’s own among all the others in it’s class. It is capable of firing 7-balls per second and highly accurate given the proper equipment. The Raptor is relatively cheap, probably in the $140-$160 range. Slightly heavy, but it’s built like an M-1 tank, and just as tough. A perfect starter, and later a starter could upgrade this gun to a very competitive marker level. As time goes on I’m positive there will be extensions to the parts list that are currently available to allow Raptor users to do more with their choice of marker.
